CASE 5.

This 2024 paper includes the following table of hypothesis testing results. Can you identify any issues or anomalies?
CASE 5. ANSWER.

This table includes several inconsistencies.
First, the t-values and p-values do not correspond. A larger t-value should correspond to a smaller p-value. For example, in the case of t = 3.014 and p = 0.017, a value of t = 6.141 should have a p-value smaller than 0.017, but it is larger. All the more, t = 6.141 should correspond to a significantly smaller p-value.
Second, the t-values, SEs, and coefficients are not consistent. Assuming t = 4.771 and SE = 0.032, the coefficient should be 0.1527, not 0.873. In all other rows, the t-values, SEs, and coefficients are also not consistent.
